I don't even know why you'd try and avoid this movie. You got Sig Haig, some ethnic diversity, and a GIANT FUCKING SWAMP CREATURE!
AND IT'S GOING TO BE IN THEATRES! You know you need to see this. I hope it just mops the floor with Apollo 18 and Shark Night 3D. That would just be hilarious.
Creature hits theatres this Friday, September 9th. (but a good friend of mine scored an early showing on Thursday so hopefully I'll have a review up Friday morning. I can't wait!)
But until you read my review, by all means check out the review over at KillerFilm. They say its a lot of fun!
"Creature revives what made this genre fun: boobs, blood, and a rubber monster."YES!
There are few triples better than, boobs blood & rubber : ) Have a great time, dude!
ReplyDelete"Creature, which opened at 1,507 venues and earned a paltry $331,000. This is the worst opening ever for a nationwide release. Creature averaged somewhere between two and three patrons per screening over the weekend—now that's a record that will be tough to beat."

OUCHY.
OH yeah, I read that shit too. My friend actually got sick and we couldn't go to the showing. With a track record starting out like this, it's only a matter of time until we pick it up on Netflix Instant. It will be awesome.
ReplyDeleteI. CAN. NOT. WAIT.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing I should point out is after I woke up this morning I turned on the radio and the first thing I hear is a discussion about how awful Creature did at the box office. Now, this could go very GOOD for creature. You know there's lots of people like me that when they hear something did EPICALLY BAD that they immediately have to see it. Creature could pull out of this nosedive.
ReplyDeleteI agree, this gave Creature instant cult status. I could have taken it or left it before this, but now I MUST see it!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that epic fails are our specialty. It's so much fun.
